Easter 2008

Greer was really into Easter this year. She loved the eggs we hung on the tree outside and the big blow-up Easter Bunny riding the egg car. Seeing her excitement every time were opened the door or pulled in the driveway made it so much fun for Josh and myself. I love how having a child has brought back alot of my childhood memories.
D (Josh's dad) was going to be out of town so he brought over Greer's Easter present early. It was a very cute bunny puppet and a basket with princess dress-up clothes inside. Greer loved dressing up and showing the neighbors. Thanks D!
Greer is really into sidewalk chalk. So G-pa, Greer, and I thought we should "fancy" up Coookie and G-pa's sidewalk for Easter. We also used alittle Glitter. Greer and I love to glitter our sidewalk at home and if you have girls you should try it. Get some very fine glitter from a craft store and sprinkle away. At night it really glistens. Cookie also had a Easter egg blow-up arch that looked super cute in front of her house. That night Greer dyed Easter Eggs for the first time. It was always a tradition in the Starkey home, so we did it a Cookie and G-pa's house. Greer really enjoyed watching the eggs change colors. We also had a mock Easter Egg Hunt. Greer had a blast and loved seeing what was inside the eggs.
The Easter Bunny came to Greer's house and brought her a basket full of goodies. It was so much fun watching her face as she pulled each thing out of the basket. She would pull something out, kiss it , and move on to the next thing.
Greer's Easter Dress was the dress Cookie made me for my first Easter. It had bunnies and baskets smocked across the front and still looked new. Greer was very excited about wearing it. Every time we put it on her she would run to the mirror to see how cute she looked. She loved that it was a "round and round" dress. She turned circles until she was dizzy. Mom said I was the same way when I was little. I always wanted a dress that would go round and round when I turned.
Lissa(Josh's mom) went to our church for Easter. She brought Greer a cute Easter bunny that sang Little Bunny Fufu. Greer thought it was great and played the song the ENTIRE WAY HOME. Thanks Lissa! After church we went to Cookie and G-pa's for lunch and Easter egg hunt. Cookie and G got Greer a Easter basket. Cookie knows where to find very cute and original stuff. It made Greer very happy. Thanks Cookie and G-pa! We hoped Greer and Gray could have there first Easter egg hunt together, but Greer fell asleep. Greer woke up and finally got to have her Easter egg hunt. We did not fill the eggs with prizes this time. After Greer put all her eggs in her basket she sat down and started shaking the eggs. If they did not make a sound she would toss them aside. It was so funny!
