"Pumpkins Everywhere...All Day"

Greer is really into the Fall/Halloween Decorations this year. No, I have not taken my child in any spook house, but if Greer sees anything that pertains to Fall/Halloween, she will say " Pumpkins..Oh Spooky House". I love it!
Last Friday, Cookie, Brooke & Gray, and Greer & I had our annual Pumpkin Patch Adventure. Besides the year that the trailer got unhooked from the tracker on the hayride, I believe this one had the most adventure. We were having a great time and Greer was so excited. She loved the hayride, all the "spooky houses", the pumpkins, but most of all the dust/dirt. Never, I repeat, NEVER put your child in good shoes when you go to the pumpkin patch. Greer never wants to be dirty, but there is something fascinating about the dirt at the pumpkin patch. Greer could not stay out of it. She was filthy, but having the best time. Greer was a little mess. She would very lovingly hug the pumpkins, but then, if they were small enough, throw them as hard as she could. She would get so tickled and say "I throwed it...I throwed it". She was not being bad at all, but last year was ALOT easier. Well, we picked out our favorite pumpkins and got ready to take the hayride back to the farm house for lemonade and homemade corn dogs.
On the way back we hit a big bump. We thought that Cookie only lost her pumpkin, but later realized she also lost her cell phone. The people that run the Mayflower pumpkin patch are so nice. They helped Cookie look for her phone. Two ladies walked the ENTIRE land for the phone, calling it 20+ times, while a man drove Cookie down to search in the pumpkin patch. Brooke and I had eaten our corn dogs and were trying to keep our exhausted children entertained when we saw Cookie walking back to her car. She had given up and was ready to get a new phone. Just then, we heard cheers. The precious man that drove the hayride found it. It must have fallen out of Cookie's pocket when we hit that big bump. We were so excited, but ready to go home.
When you are at the Pumpkin Patch leave your cell phone in the car. I Repeat, Leave Your Cell Phone In The Car."
I will have more pictures later. Cookie and Brooke took most of them. I was in charge of the video. You will see a few pics of "spooky stuff". I will say Greer loves everyone no mater what they look like. She felt sorry for the skeleton in the truck and wanted to "Oh..hug him..hug him."

I can't wait to go to "the patch" this year. Last year, Sydney just looked around and took it in. We are planning on going Sunday so I am glad to read the hint about shoes. I have a huge problem though. I just spend a half a fortune on new keds, brown and pink mary janes and she has literally grown a shoe size in 3 weeks. I am sick! Do you have any size 4 1/2 or 5 shoes you need to get off your hands?
