Santa Bring Me...Pickles and Bananas

Christmas 2008 was a blast. We wanted to get the most out the holiday season so we started it very early (Nov 1). We watched Rudolph, Frosty, Polor Express, and the Grinch I can't tell you how many times. It was hard for us to believe a two year old could know so many Christmas songs, but Greer had them down. No matter where we were Greer was singing. If I had to pick two songs, from her repertoire, that she liked the best it would be "Where are you Christmas"and "Believe". She still sings them everyday. This year she was really into Santa,Snowmen a.k.a. Sam, and the Nativity Scene . She loved talking about Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus.
We got to see our California family and friends, which was very nice. Jaclyn brought her boyfriend home, Jon, this Christmas. They spent many hours playing with Greer. She didn't know what to think when they were not here anymore. We got to spend time with Julie Kay, Darrell, and the boys(Jett and Gage)which was alot of fun. And Julie Fisher even has a Polly Pocket named after her. Not from California, but from out of town, we saw Lindey and Noah and Eric and Brandee. Greer is in love with Noah. The other morning his name was the first thing that came out of her mouth. We miss them all and can't wait for them to come back...soon!
Greer got to go to the Nursing Home Christmas Party and see her Grandpa Walter. She loved the music and all the people.
When we took Greer to see Santa Greeer thought it was Great. She told him she wanted Pickles and Bananas. When anyone asked her what she wanted it was the same thing. She was so serious. Santa could have had it really easy this year, but he decided to get to work on Greers gifts in August.:( On Christmas morning, she was excited to see her kitchen, but she looked at me with the biggest smile when she saw her "Pickles and Nanas".
Our Christmas Day Schedule:
-Get up and see what Santa brought and open the presents that we (Josh, Merrit, and Greer) got each other
-GO to Cookie and G-pas and open presents
-Go to Meeps and Peeps for Brunch and Presents
-Go to Lissa's for Lunch and Presents
-Go back to Cookie's for dinner
By the end of all of that we are fat and tired. Greer was totally burned out on opening gifts. It is hard being the only Grandchild.

I will post more pics when I get them from Jaclyn and Cookie.
